L'installation Constellation du corbeau de Violaine Laveaux s'inscrit dans l'exposition Ciel, un oiseau!. Initiée par le département d'histoire naturelle du Musée-château, elle mêle beaux-arts, ethnologie savoyarde, archéologie, cinéma d'animation et art contemporain. Ces disciplines enrichissent le regard autour de la figure de l'oiseau,lui donnant tour à tour une perception biologique, naturaliste, artistique, ethnologique, humoristique et questionnant les rapports entretenus entre l'homme et l'animal. Violaine Laveaux a reçu carte blanche pour une exposition autour de la figure emblématique du corbeau, apportant ainsi une relecture de la salle des colonnes, lieu emblématique du château d'Annecy. l'exposition est ponctuée de dessins à l'encre et de sculptures réalisées à partir de matériaux divers et ordinaires (branches, cire, paraffine, terre crue, encre, talc) caractéristique de sa pratique, où se mêlent corps et fragments de corps humains ou animaux, objets-reliques, et objets-mémoire explorant les liens mystérieux qui unissent l'art, les contes et la vie.

 

Violaine Laveaux's installation Constellation du corbeau is part of exhibition Ciel, un oiseau!. Organised by the departement of natural history at the Musée-château, it mingles fine arts, Savoy ethnology, archaeology, animated films and contemporary art. These disciplines enrich the way we look at the figure of the bird, giving it by turns a biological naturalistic, artistic, ethnological and humorous perception, and questioning the relations between people and animals. Violaine Laveaux was given carte blanche for a show around the emblematic figure of the crow, thus ushering in a re-reading of the columm room, a symbolic place in Annecy castle. The exhibition is punctuated by ink drawings and sculptures made using diverse and ordinary materials (branches, wax, paraffin wax, earth, ink, talc) typical of her praxis, in which there is a mixture of bodies and fragments of human and animal bodies, relic objects and memory objects exploring the mysterious links which connect art, tales, and life.
